Nicholas Larus-Stone

Nicholas Larus-Stone is a software engineer at Benchling, where he leads development of the company’s Deep Research Agent and other AI-driven products. He joined Benchling following its acquisition of Sphinx Bio, the biotech startup he founded to apply AI to scientific data analysis and drug discovery. Earlier in his career, he was the first software engineer at Octant Bio and led the Machine Learning Infrastructure team at BenevolentAI. Nicholas studied Computer Science at Cambridge and Harvard and founded Bits in Bio, a global community uniting innovators in software and life sciences.
