Founder and CEO

Raphael Townshend is the Founder and CEO of Atomic AI, a company fusing cutting-edge machine learning with state-of-the-art structural biology to unlock RNA drug discovery. As a PhD fellow at Stanford University, Dr. Townshend wrote his thesis on Geometric Learning of Biomolecular Structure and taught machine learning. His work has been featured on the cover of Science and published in other top venues. Named this year to the Forbes 30 under 30 list for Science, Dr. Townshend has also held positions at DeepMind and Google. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a PhD in Computer Science from Stanford University.
