Biocom creates valuable networks that accelerate member success in Los Angeles through a variety of programs, including specialized events, targeted conferences, expert committees, leadership dinners, industry-focused meetings, scientific roundtables, venture capital days, and member-to-member networking. To address the greatest challenge of the region—its lack of a geographical center—Biocom holds these events throughout the greater LA area in broad range of locations, times and venues.

Hanan Al-Hakim
Sr. Program Manager -- Los-Angeles

Hanan is responsible for connecting Los Angeles-area life science companies, professionals and entrepreneurs through regional events, and delivering LA members best-in-class service. In addition, she helps highlight LA’s bustling life science industry through social media and marketing communications.

She brings to Biocom a background in program management, account and partner relations, event planning, project management, and marketing analysis. Hanan obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Cal State Northridge and a Master’s in Business Administration from Pepperdine Graziadio School of Business and Management.

Cristian Cardenas

Cristian Cardenas
Associate Manager of Membership -- Los-Angeles

Cristian is responsible for assisting the development of a united bio cluster in the Greater Los Angeles region and interacts daily to seek new members that share that goal. Members can expect to receive the same attention to detail and quality service from Cristian that they put into their research or patient product.

Cristian is a born and raised Angelino with a B.S. in Biotechnology and M.B.S. in Clinical and Regulatory Affairs from U.C. Davis and Keck Graduate Institute, respectively. He brings a background working in offices, labs, and fields alike throughout California and Washington D.C.

Anthony Gonzales

Anthony Gonzales
Business Development Manager -- Los-Angeles

Anthony is responsible for developing the Biocom brand for the greater Los Angeles Area. Specifically, he focuses on new membership development as well as leveraging his start-up background to support new ventures.

Anthony comes to Biocom most recently as the executive director and co-founder of a Sports Tech start-up. His background includes extensive engineer collaboration, sales, capital development, and funding initiatives as well as product development and supply chain management. Anthony carries an MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics as well as a BS in Management.

Dina Lozofsky
Executive Director, LA Office  
Dina Lozofsky
Executive Director, LA Office -- Los-Angeles

As Executive Director of Biocom’s Los Angeles office, Dina leads Biocom’s programming and benefits efforts in the growing LA life science industry and helps raise awareness surrounding the regional cluster’s many research accomplishments.

Dina’s experience includes leadership roles in academia, startups and established companies as well as board member seats at the LA Venture Association (LAVA), the LA Bioscience Hub, and the City of Los Angeles Workforce Development Board. She holds a BS in Aerospace Engineering from MIT, an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business and is a registered Patent Agent.

Casey O'Neill

Casey O'Neill
Program Associate -- Los-Angeles

Casey is responsible for the support of programming, benefits and awareness efforts for Los Angeles’ expanding life science industry primarily through regional events and collaboration with members and partners. She also represents Biocom’s LA members’ interests in public policy and events, and supports the initiatives of LA’s STEM outreach program.

Casey brings a background in event planning, client services, community volunteer work and administrative support, specifically c-level executive assistance and office management. Previously, she worked in post-production entertainment and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theatre from Pepperdine University.
