Generation STEAM is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established by Biocom California, the leading accelerator of the life sciences in California. We work with schools, school districts, community organizations, and industry to create pathways for students interested in pursuing a career in California’s thriving life science industry. Our innovative year-round programs and events serve K-12 students and educators, ensuring a diverse and flourishing workforce of the future.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower the next generation of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) visionaries through education and exploration. Our programming sparks a love of STEAM in K-12 students and exposes them to careers in which their unique strengths can be utilized. We want students to know that whatever their skills and interests, there is a place for them in STEAM, and a STEAM career path is realistic, regardless of gender, race, or socio-economic status. Generation STEAM provides opportunities in areas where resource and education equality has historically lacked.
