VP Global Head of Biology, Neuroscience at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson
As Global Biology Lead within the Neuroscience TA at Janssen Research & Development, Andrea Houghton is currently responsible for execution of the discovery portfolio and delivery of development candidates for Neuroscience. The areas of therapeutic focus include Neurodegeneration (Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s Disease) and Neuropsychiatry (Schizophrenia and Major Depressive Disorder).
Andrea joined Janssen in September 2021 following a 11-years Merck Research Labs (MRL), most recently serving as Associate Vice President of the Quantitative Biosciences leading group at the South San Francisco & West Point research sites. Prior to joining MRL Andrea worked at Organon and Schering Plough. Andrea obtained her D. Phil. Degree in 1995 at the University of Nottingham. Her work has led to more than 50 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
