Andrés is the Co-Founder and leads research and development at Aspen Neuroscience, a clinical-stage autologous cell therapy company, currently investigating its lead candidate ANPD001 for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. He also served as Senior Science Advisor and Director of Research and Development at Summit for Stem Cell Foundation. Andrés obtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and his BS in Bioengineering from the University of Washington.  As a post-doctoral fellow at the Scripps Research Institute, he helped develop the core technology that formed the basis for the creation of Aspen in 2018.
