Swathi A. Kumar, Ph.D, is a strategic bridge across QIAGENs DNA biometrics business, where she oversees product, sales, market development, public affairs, and advocacy for their genealogy division. She worked on the $150M sale of Verogen to QIAGEN in 2023. Dr. Kumar has led the launch and adoption of multiple industry-leading next-generation human identification platforms and products. Formerly, she worked on Informatics and IoT-based precision service solutions for Illumina’s global fleet of DNA sequencers. She participates in national working groups on issues of DNA advancements and standards, policies, and legislation. Dr. Kumar has been featured on FoxNation, Fox Business and was named SD Business Journals’ 40 Under 40 business leaders in 2023.
